Panta Rei was a Swedish progressive rock and jazz-rock fusion band that emerged in the early 1970s. Their sound blended psychedelic rock, jazz influences, and complex progressive arrangements, drawing comparisons to bands like Soft Machine, Colosseum, and Traffic. The band was relatively short-lived and only released one studio album, making them a hidden gem in the progressive rock scene.

Panta Rei’s self-titled debut (and only) album is a mix of progressive rock, bluesy guitar work, and jazz improvisation. The album contains long instrumental sections, intricate rhythms, and a warm, jam-like feel. It’s a great example of early 70s Swedish progressive music, blending electric guitars with saxophone and jazz-like structures.
