November was a Swedish hard rock band active in the early 1970s, often regarded as pioneers of Swedish heavy rock. Their music combined blues-based hard rock with psychedelic and progressive influences, and they stood out by singing in Swedish rather than English. Their sound was influenced by bands like Cream, Led Zeppelin, and Mountain, featuring heavy riffs, powerful drumming, and a raw, energetic feel.

Their second album, 2:a, was released in 1971 and continued the heavy, bluesy style of their debut while showing more maturity in songwriting and arrangements. The album features a mix of hard-driving rock tracks and more atmospheric, progressive moments, with tight musicianship and strong Swedish lyrics.

2:a has since become a cult classic in Scandinavian rock history, cherished by fans of early '70s heavy rock and proto-metal. It remains a key album in the development of Swedish hard rock and progressive music.
