‘Mr. Soul’ was the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Sam Cooke. Produced by Hugo & Luigi, the album was released in February 1963. It is including some well loved classics like “I Love You For Sentimental Reasons”, “Cry Me A River” and “Nothing Can Change This Love”. This album shows Cooke rising to the peak of his powers, his voice wrapping itself around lyrics and melodies, making them much more significant and powerful. Cooke’s voice was still one of the finest voices in Soul of his century, and is worth taking in for every breath and nuance.
