Glyn Geoffrey Ellis was a Mancunian who was first elevated to national pop stardom and, as Wayne Fontana, would enjoy transatlantic fame, backed by The Mindbenders with The Game Of Love. When that partnership split in late 1965, Fontana pursued a successful solo career and one that highlighted his own song writing.
