A fabulous and wholly underrated krautrock treasure, Lava's low-down, gritty and acidic musical thrust actually owes a great deal more to a dusted sounding dimension of UK psych that extends between the first Hawkwind album and, say, Sam Gopal than any of what their German contemporaries were getting up to at the time.
