Fascinating album from the Australian classical rock combo TheMarshall Brothers, which appeared on the Sydney-based M7 label in1975.The band, which perversely didn't include a single member bearingthe name of Marshall, were clearly influenced by the likes of RickWakeman, Genesis and Yes, and actually lived, along with producerChris Neal, in Sydney's Trafalgar studios for 8 days while the albumwas being recorded, thus, according to the album's liner notes"allowing aspects of discussion and discovery seldom, if ever, equalled in an Australian production". Clearly the tactic worked asthe album spent eight weeks in the Australian charts, successwhich earned the band a serious musical reputation. This in turntranslated into more commercial success when the group wasinvited to write the soundtrack for the Australian movie SummerCity which boasted the first film appearance of future Hollywoodidol Mel Gibson. The eponymous album boasts 8 well-crafted self-penned tracks ofsuperior prog rock, well recorded and beautifully delivered. Analbum well worth checking out.Track Listing1. Falcon 1868-19122. Bright Light Lady3. Pioneer Suite4. Mr 'L'5. Come Out With Your Hands UpBaby6. Flying High7. Summer Love8. Younger Now
