Agnus formed in 1973 in Santa Fe, Argentina, but it wasn’t until 1980 that they managed to release their sole magnus opus Pinturas Y Expresiones, the most expensive (3k) prog album that was ever released in Argentina. This is a unique blend of symphonic prog with 2 faces, equally split between the 2 sides, one with a folky edge, punctuated by aethereal pastoral vocals in an intimate dialogue with flute and violin, and another packed with wandering psychedelic guitars and side-effects. Picture Rennaissance in an interminable jam with MIA and Catharsis with Bacamarte and you might start to get a feel for this one-of-a-kind artefact. This is the first, long-awaited official reissue in a limited edition of 400 copies (250 numbered copies in black and 150 copies in marble vinyl), featuring the original booklet + bespoke biography straight from the band.
