The band hailed from Rhode Island and this was their second LP for Mainstream Records, following the self titled debut, which also was released in 1968. Both albums by Tangerine Zoo are highly regarded by fans of serious psychedelic rock. Guitar and bass player Tony Tavares, who'd reach international stardom in the 70s with, indeed, the vocal soul-pop outfit baring his family name, had left the band shortly before the recordings of this album.
