Funk genius George Clinton first came to prominance with The Parliaments in the late 1960s with hits like I Wanna Testify. He then invented the psychedelic funk outfit Funkadelic for a string of albums. As Parliament, Clinton & Co. then hooked up with Holland, Dozier and Holland at Invictus Records in Detroit in 1970 to release Osmium, plus a smattering of other equally inventive 45s. Osmium was diverse, incorporating soul, rock, funk and even country influences into a magical melting pot of music. Heres the definitive reissue on CD with bonus tracks. Tracklisting
