Taken from a previously unknown high quality bootleg recording of a live performance by Fruupp on 6/12/1975 at Friars, Aylesbury.
Release date is scheduled for Summer 2022. Only 500 copies of this high quality, limited edition, coloured vinyl, gatefold sleeve, double album will be available. This is a fan-led project with all proceeds going to the original band members.
The Fruupp Project was launched in 2020 with the aim of producing a live Fruupp single, live album and a book. Merchandise has been sold to raise funds towards this aim, but it was evident that further funds were needed to pay for some of the expensive elements such as remastering of archival recordings.
In February 2021 we launched a Crowdfunder to raise funds towards The Fruupp Project. Fifty three generous members of the Fruupp Facebook Group together contributed £1302 (including Gift Aid.) All those who contributed are being listed in the liners notes on the live double album.
We may well use crowdfunding again as it was very successful and in the meantime if anybody wishes to donate to the cause then please email Brian O’Neill at fruuppstore@gmail.com
It should be noted that the members of The Fruupp Project are volunteers who receive no payment and the ultimate aim of selling the music and the book is to yield some royalties for the surviving band members. Sadly they have received little or no earnings from the Fruupp vinyl and CDs produced previously. It is wonderful to be able to finally put this right to some small extent.
