Lang'syne played some sophisticated psych-folk with English vocals, with a variety of partly exotic instruments like the psaltery, koto, glockenspiel, banjo, flute, slide guitar, or the Jew's harp. Their sole LP was released in 1976 in 200 copies only. Mint copies change hands for 1000 - 2000 euros today, making it probably the most expensive Krautrock LP except for the first edition of CAN's "Monster movie". It contains only self-written tracks. Especially remarkable is that the musical interaction of the three musicians is of somnabulistic perfection. There have been several new editions of "Lang'syne", both as LP and as CD, some of them with a bonus track.
