The Kinks were one of the most influential bands of the British Invasion and Kinda Kinks is their second album released in 1965 by Pye Records (Reprise in the States). Ray Davies and co. knew how to crank out three-minute pop songs and the album's smash hit, "Tired Of Waiting For You," shows why their unique sound remained so influential. "Nothin' In The World Can Stop Me Worryin' Bout That Girl" has been overlooked by many until Wes Anderson's Rushmore popularized the track, as well as the Kinks, to a new generation. The 12 tracks are stripped down and simple but they retain a sort of modest perfection making Kinda Kinks an understated but growingly catchy Kinks klassic (reissued here on mono and with the original UK track list).
