op british jazz trumpeter ian carr formed nucleus in 1969 and the group won first prize
at the montreaux international festival. they established a reputation for improvised but
integrated music that moved between jazz and rock styles.
'elastic rock' was the group's critically acclaimed debut issued on vertigo in 1970.
ian on trumpet integrates with brian smith (sax), chris spedding (guitar), karl jenkins (baritone
sax and keyboards) and john marshall (drums).
