Gatefold LP 180 gram - .Rarely you can find, in the panorama of the Italian 60's, a group so innovative and so diverse. "Le Stelle" ("The Stars"), released in 1967, was the work of Mario Schifano, the amazing painter and sculptor of Italian Pop who brought together four young, unknown musicians and vocalist Francesca Camerana on some tracks. Originally released on the tiny BDS label, only 500 copies were initally pressed (some of which on red vinyl). The cover art, by Schifano, is a sublime example of pop art, rich in stars (appropriate for the group's name). Side one features "Le Ultime Parole Di Brandimarte" ("The Last Words Of Brandimarte") with guest musician Peter Hartman. This piece represents the most avant-garde moments of the work, with its surreal atmosphere, more in line with a contemporary musical performance than psychedelic rock. Side two contains five tracks that offer a view of the group's wonderful abilities in a largely pop context.
