Burning Plague was a short-lived Belgian blues-rock band formed in the late 1960s. Their sound was deeply rooted in heavy blues, hard rock, and psychedelic influences, drawing comparisons to bands like Fleetwood Mac (Peter Green era), Cream, Ten Years After, and Free.

The band, led by guitarist Paul Van De Craen, had a raw, soulful sound, blending emotional vocals with extended, bluesy guitar solos. Despite their potential, Burning Plague disbanded shortly after their debut album, making their sole release a cult classic among blues-rock collectors.

The Burning Plague album is a hidden treasure of early blues-rock, filled with smoky, soulful vocals, wailing guitar solos, and deep grooves. The album’s sound is raw and unpolished, making it feel like an authentic jam session captured on tape.

This record is highly regarded among blues-rock and psychedelic rock collectors due to its powerful guitar work, heavy blues atmosphere, and emotional delivery. It’s one of those albums that got overlooked at the time but has since gained recognition as an underground classic.
