In 1994, after a decade long hiatus, founding member Jon Field resurrected Jade Warrior for a successful two-album comeback on the European label Red Hot. The first of the pair, Breathing The Storm was released shortly after the tragically unexpected death of founding member Tony Duhig. As a result the album has a lighter, less percussive feel, relying mainly on Field's flute and keyboards and new member, Dave Sturt's fretless bass, putting the album to the new age side of the prog fence. Their second release, however Distant Echoes leans more to the visceral side of prog and features a host of special guests, including ex-King Crimson violinist David Cross.
