Ever since they reunited in recent years, there has been increasing worldwide interest in the group founded by keyboard wizard Rod Argent and distinctive singer Colin Blunstone.
This debut album, was first released on Decca in 1965, when they leapt to fame with ‘She’s Not There’. The smash hit is a highlight, alongside a selection of R&B ‘covers’ that typify the sort of earthy material British bands played in the early 1960s, with renditions of such R&B favourites as ‘Road Runner’ and ‘I Got My Mojo Working’, alongside many fine original compositions by Rod Argent and bassist Chris White.
