Just a month after the release of their second album 'Birds Of Fire,' John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra blast through an extraordinary set, demonstrating that they were the supreme jazz-rock group of the day. The speed, precision and ferocity of McLaughlin's solos are matched by Jerry Goodman's virtuosic violin and Jan Hammer's innovative keyboard playing, all supported by Rick Laird's solid bass and Billy Cobham's super-human percussion. Performed at Cornell University, Ithaca NY February 23rd 1973 and broadcast by WKRNL-FM.
